The Queen: Michelle

The Queen: Michelle
I am 28 years old. Still a princess but the queen of my family. Spoiled beyond belief. Lucky and truely blessed. A lover. A crafter. A mother. A wife. A friend. This is me.

My King: Junior

My King: Junior
The LOVE of my life! He completes me and balances me out in every way. He's a workaholic. He's loud, blunt, and crazy. He drinks Monsters like his life depends on it. Above all he is the greatest Daddy I could ever ask for, for my children. And he treats me like his Queen (and he calls me that too).

The Model Child: Diego Ray

The Model Child: Diego Ray
9 years old. My only boy. He is the epitome of the perfect child. He is so responsible and independent. Wise beyond his years. He is laughter, he is love, he is compassion, he is simply amazing. He keeps me grounded and reminds me always that I am beautiful. He is a natural born leader and takes care of the household and family better than me!

The Diva: Alayna Danae

The Diva: Alayna Danae
7 years old. She is drama. My fashionista for sure with a style all her own. Sensitive and loving when she wants to be. Thumbsucker. My biggest headache because she is the most like me. She is the only one who can cause me to become uncontrollably angry. She loves to dance. She loves to model. My bookworm and most academic.

The Wild Child: Arielle Marie-Grace

The Wild Child: Arielle Marie-Grace
4 years old. This one is something else. She is pure comedy. Never a dull moment with her crazy antics. She is also the crybaby. She does things her own way. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to be cute to get it. My Disney loving pal. So girly. Her favorite color is pink. Loves Rapunzel. Will wear a dress every single day. Can't leave the house without a bow in her hair. She refuses.

The Munchkin: Atalie Belle

The Munchkin: Atalie Belle
2 years old. My sweet baby. She loves her Mommy above all else. She is a cuddlebug for sure. The calmest most well behaved baby ever! But she has TONS of energy. She is so small and petite. She loves to sing and dance. She so SO ready for ballet and has yet to even step foot in a class. She loves Minnie Mouse and watching Disney Jr. She is hilarious and talks way too much.

Long Hiatus!

Bad blogger... bad blogger... I know... but in my defense I have been doing semi-well on updating my Photography Blog. I just got a huge photography kick again and wanted to take pictures of everything lately and that's left me with nothing to actually write about.

Ok so where did I last leave you?

Chrismas? Well it was great. The kids got everything and more thanks to Santa. He was awesome this year despite being in a recession. (So Thanks Mom and Dad...err I mean... Santa!) They got tons of clothes which I love. And as much as we avoided it they also got tons of toys. I got Jr and Diego Rockband for the Xbox and they got me the Scene It game for the Xbox too! Right now we <3>

Here's a few Pics:

Then came New Years. Jr and I were so burned out this year that we decided to stay home for the night. My parents went to my Tia Yolie's house so it was just us and the kids. I made Enchiladas for dinner. Then we just hung around watching movies together and eating ice cream and snacks. Right before midnight I poured 4 cups with sparkling white grape juice and the kids were so excited to do a toast. I set up the video camera on the couch to record us. It was funny. Right after midnight we went outside with our luggage and ran up and down the street. (This has been our tradition for 4 years now... it's supposed to bring good luck on many travels in the New Year) Jr filmed that too. It was funny.

Then New Years Day we decided to redecorate the kids room. My parents bought paint for their bedroom, and ours as well. And they had brand new carpets installed. So we spent the first few days of 2009 building their new room. We took a trip to Ikea and I LOVE it!!! I spend a lot of time in there now playing with the girls while Diego is at school, and reading to them before bedtime every night.

Photographing the President

I just wanted to share this video. I came across it today and it moved me to no end. First of all I love photographs... and great photograph can emit a lot of emotion. And second it got me thinking.

I've heard so much good things and bad things said about our new president lately and so many people trying to push their values and feelings and politics on other because they think their way is right. That would be the main reason why I hate talking about politics. Everyone has their own opinions and I am not one for pushing mine on others... although I will listen to someone else's point of view, I have my own.

I am a democrat. And I can't say I hate Bush... I just don't agree with everything he did, and said, and stood for during his 8 year term, marked by 2 wars, a recession, and the biggest terrorist attack on U.S. soil.

After watching this video, I thought... I may not like the guy but I sure do respect him for everything he has done for this country. Being the President has got to be one of the hardest jobs in the world. He's not God and he didn't know the outcome of some of his choices. I think it's honorable what he's done. And I think him and Mr. Cheney being booed yesterday was truly unclassy. Standing there and not clapping at all would have gotten the point across just fine... but booing is an ultimate sign of disrespect.

Even with all the disapproval of many citizens Bush remained upbeat and positive. From the looks of it he made the transition of presidential power as smooth as possible. As White House ritual he still left a note for Obama in the Oval Office wishing him well.

I did feel a weight lifting as I watched the helicopter carrying Bush leave the Capitol. But I also feel respect for a man who held a position as high as his and led this country.
