The Queen: Michelle

The Queen: Michelle
I am 28 years old. Still a princess but the queen of my family. Spoiled beyond belief. Lucky and truely blessed. A lover. A crafter. A mother. A wife. A friend. This is me.

My King: Junior

My King: Junior
The LOVE of my life! He completes me and balances me out in every way. He's a workaholic. He's loud, blunt, and crazy. He drinks Monsters like his life depends on it. Above all he is the greatest Daddy I could ever ask for, for my children. And he treats me like his Queen (and he calls me that too).

The Model Child: Diego Ray

The Model Child: Diego Ray
9 years old. My only boy. He is the epitome of the perfect child. He is so responsible and independent. Wise beyond his years. He is laughter, he is love, he is compassion, he is simply amazing. He keeps me grounded and reminds me always that I am beautiful. He is a natural born leader and takes care of the household and family better than me!

The Diva: Alayna Danae

The Diva: Alayna Danae
7 years old. She is drama. My fashionista for sure with a style all her own. Sensitive and loving when she wants to be. Thumbsucker. My biggest headache because she is the most like me. She is the only one who can cause me to become uncontrollably angry. She loves to dance. She loves to model. My bookworm and most academic.

The Wild Child: Arielle Marie-Grace

The Wild Child: Arielle Marie-Grace
4 years old. This one is something else. She is pure comedy. Never a dull moment with her crazy antics. She is also the crybaby. She does things her own way. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to be cute to get it. My Disney loving pal. So girly. Her favorite color is pink. Loves Rapunzel. Will wear a dress every single day. Can't leave the house without a bow in her hair. She refuses.

The Munchkin: Atalie Belle

The Munchkin: Atalie Belle
2 years old. My sweet baby. She loves her Mommy above all else. She is a cuddlebug for sure. The calmest most well behaved baby ever! But she has TONS of energy. She is so small and petite. She loves to sing and dance. She so SO ready for ballet and has yet to even step foot in a class. She loves Minnie Mouse and watching Disney Jr. She is hilarious and talks way too much.

I Love The Way You Lie

I have been trying for so long to capture this on video.

It's my ringtone... and she sings it everytime I get a text message... which is a million times a day.

But...

When I try and film it she either gets camera shy, or picks the one time to NOT sing.

And then when I had the camera... she ignores the song. I never win.

But yesterday... all the hiding paid off... I finally got it!

Toilet Talk

Just a glimpse of the conversations I have with Arielle as I try and get her to go potty...

Jr and the Wasp

My husband is a chicken when it comes to wasps... and as we were sitting around watching tv he realized there was one in the house. He'd been chasing after it at a distance for a while before I thought to grab my camera. He eventually killed it and knocked down a nest they had built by out back door.

That Was Me Then

Since my Dad went to California this weekend I sent with him and my sister my old external drive so that my cousin Crystal could send me some pictures she has. They are from the summer I spent there when Diego had just turned a year old. It was the summer I went with her to her Senior Prom. We had fun that summer. She graduated from High School, I attended her Grad Night with her at Disneyland, and we spent tons of time at the park and the Beach. So so fun. I was nineteen... well nineteen and a half.

So my Dad came and dropped it off for me along with some food from California... and I was so happy to open the external up and see these old pictures from almost 6 years ago. Before I had a digital camera. I didn't get my first one until the Christmas after that summer when my parents gave me one.

Diego was so cute. And there's a few videos on there of him. It's fun to remember how he was. My little chunky boy.

And holy cow do I look different! I was skinny still! Even a year after having Diego! And my hair... oh it makes me sad looking at the pictures. I loved my hair. I would give anything to have that hair back. But then again back then I had time to style it all the time... now it's always up in a bun. I wanna look like that again...

So let me share with you... me then...

My hair done for Prom

All ready to go to Prom

See I WAS skinny! And my baby boy was chunky!

Me and Crystal

This is after we got home at like almost 8am from Grad Night at Disneyland. That was like the best Disney Trip! No lines!

Beach!

And for fun here's Diego!!! Don't you just wanna squeeze him and love him?!

How weird it is to look back and remember when I was a new Mommy. Everything was all about having fun with my one little Prince. It's crazy how much has changed in 6 years. Just a few short months after all of this... Jr and I got together... and now look at us! Insane!

Video Time!

It's short movie time!

Here are some recent mini videos I have taken in the past month... Grab some popcorn cuz there are a few...

This is always one of the very first words in any of my kids' vocabulary...

This is what I go through everytime I leave the house without the kids... but usually it involves more kisses and hugs than that...

One night we were watching SYTYCD and I guess Ducky and Alayna were paying attention to all the partner dancing they do... so they decided to try it out themselves. One girl, one boy, and a well choreographed routine!

Arielle giving Grandpa a massage... she sees Diego do it all the time so she likes to do it too.

Arielle is like a little puppy sometimes... and it makes her excited...

This is Layna trying to tell me a story but she is easily distracted...

Ok so here's her whole story about one of her favorite movies... Can you guess what movie she is talking about?

Sometimes my daughter just likes to break out into dance...

This show is like mesmerizing for kids... and it's my godsend. It keeps all kids quiet and settles down... yup. Yo Gabba Gabba...

And Arielle is little Miss Bossy and likes to chat her life away...

One fish, Two Fish...

Summer in our household means the kids wanna do a whole lot of swimming. All 3 of my kids love the water. Diego is a great swimmer now. And my Dad is teaching him how to dive. And Alayna is a pro with her floaties. But she will not even jump into the pool... even with the floaties on...

That was until tonight...

I was cooking dinner and my Dad offered to take Diego and Alayna swimming for a bit while I finished up. Exert their energy, work up a hunger, and then send them to bed tired. Of course I was sooooo surprised when he comes to the door and calls me out not even 5 minutes later to show me this:

I cannot tell you how proud this makes me! It's amazing to see her overcome her fear out of nowhere like this! That's not Alayna at all... she's stubborn and likes things her way. And for her to just take off those floaties and jump in, is like a miracle. Just a few days ago she wouldn't even jump from the wall with floaties.

And what blow my mind is... I woke up and this morning and told her, "Alayna your birthday is in one week from today!" I can't believe my baby girl, my princesa, my pride and joy will be 4 years old next week. This is really starting to hit me all of a sudden. Her baby years are slipping right through my fingers and I can't grasp them long enough to freeze time any longer.

So I took another video to document this occasion:

So they swam a good 45 minutes and then it was dinner time. And boy were they happy about it. Out of nowhere they started chanting about how yummy the food was. I had to capture it on video too. They were so funny. They must have seen it somewhere because they broke out with this in unison.

Silly Kids!

I've Got Moves You've Never Seen Before

Let me start by saying... I am a spectacular dresser and dancer. This I already know.

The other night my Daddy and my Tia Chely (who is visiting from California) were singing some karaoke in the dining room. I was across from them in the computer room enjoying the sweet music I was hearing. I was even singing along and jamming out while I edited my pictures. It was like being in a concert and I had front row seats.

Then all of a sudden, it started. This melody that made me wanna jump up out of my seat and dance. The kind of song that put my body in a trance and I had no control of my appendages.

And this occurred:

Those singers weren't too impressed with my moves... or my dress style. I thought I did a pretty snazzy job! I don't know what they were talking about... cuz I look at it and I did GREAT!

I am now thinking of pursuing a dancing career... So You Think You Can Dance... here I come!
Bwahaha!

And She SINGS too...

The Princess is not only an actress, she's not only gorgeous, and she's not only a dancer! My daughter is a girl of many talents... she sings too! LOL

Man does she love to sing. It doesn't matter who's around... as she's proven numerous times at my mom's Dr's office... she belts it all out. It amazes me how fast she can learn a song. I am the same way... and have been ever since I can remember... but she's 3! Okay ALMOST 4... but still. She learns the songs and even sings with feeling sometimes. Her favorites are Taylor Swift (number one) and Miley Cyrus. And just like her Mama... she gravitates towards... country and ballads. Ahh... my mini me! Except of course I can't carry a tune to save my life and she sounds soooo cute!

Here she is singing Taylor Swift's "Love Story"

Actual Lyrics:
We were both young when I first saw you
I close my eyes
And the flashback starts
I'm standing there
On a balcony in summer air

See the lights
See the party, the ball gowns
I see you make your way through the crowd
And say hello, little did I know

That you were Romeo, you were throwing pebbles
And my daddy said stay away from Juliet
And I was crying on the staircase
Begging you please don't go, and I said

Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone
I'll be waiting all there's left to do is run
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story baby just say yes

So I sneak out to the garden to see you
We keep quiet 'cause we're dead if they knew
So close your eyes
Escape this town for a little while

'Cause you were Romeo, I was a scarlet letter
And my daddy said stay away from Juliet
But you were everything to me
I was begging you please don't go and I said

Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone
I'll be waiting all there's left to do is run
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story baby just say yes

Romeo save me, they try to tell me how to feel
This love is difficult, but it's real
Don't be afraid, we'll make it out of this mess
It's a love story baby just say yes
Oh oh

I got tired of waiting
Wondering if you were ever coming around
My faith in you is fading
When I met you on the outskirts of town, and I said

Romeo save me I've been feeling so alone
I keep waiting for you but you never come
Is this in my head? I don't know what to think
He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring

And said, marry me Juliet
You'll never have to be alone
I love you and that's all I really know
I talked to your dad, go pick out a white dress
It's a love story baby just say yes

Oh, oh, oh, oh
'Cause we were both young when I first saw you

Alayna's Version:

Worry 'bout your mind when I first saw you
I closed my eyes and the flashbacks start to say hello...

So I sneak out to the party to tweed (Is that a word?) you
But Daddy said stay away from Juliet
And now we're crying on the staircase baby you please don't go

And I say Mario (Where's Romero? This must be the Mexican version)
take me somewhere we can be alone
I be waiting call you have do the stuff
You be the Princess, I be the princess (There isn't a prince in this equation... maybe she's for prop 8 in California?)
Missing my story baby just say yes...

Uh oh...
Uh ooooooohhhhhh....

(Yes I have heard her sing it a MILLION times that I know HER version by heart now.)

And for kicks... hers the version she gave me last night... with choreographed moves and everything. Where does she get this stuff?!

Sour. Sweet.

These are Sour Patch Kids commercials. I LOVE sour patch kids. Best movie candy ever!

But that's not why I am showing you these videos. The reason is because I own my very own Sour Patch Kid. Her name is Alayna Danae.

Seriously!

I've always called her that and no one ever knows why. So today I decided to show you.

Today my beautiful Princesa picked me some flowers and was being such a sweet girl while waiting for my mom to come out of her Dr. appointment. Everyone who walked by us were enchanted by her singing, and general sweetness as she presented me with flowers and told me how much she loved me. Not to mention her adorable face and lovely outfit. Bystanders had a field day with her!

Then in a matter of an hours she turned into this child...

Evil ain't she?
Not so cute no more.
Yeah she can fool you.

Almost hard to believe she's the same girl.

And all because she drew on my bedroom walls (in her self defense she said she drew me) and I made her stand in the corner for 5 minutes, then apologize to her Grandma for defacing her house, and THEN I still made her clean it up!

How dare I!

Just Some Videos

I promise I will get back to my regular blogging soon... but until then... here's some videos to hold you over.

#1 - Jr was dancing in the car and Arielle was in such amazement that she stared at him frozen with the cheesiest smile on her face. It was hilarious!

#2 - After the dancing in the car we stopped at McDonalds for some lunch before heading home. I didn't have to cook and it was good... points all around.

#3 & #4 - Arielle Walking! This was taken about 3 weeks ago. She was so excited in the first video. In the 2nd... she was getting tired as we had been up to this for 30 mins or more already. These were her official first steps and I am so glad we caught them!

So my kids may be the next American Idols

It's no secret that my family loves to sing. And it's no secret that my daddy and I both love country music. It took me a while to get my husband to listen to country music but now he's a big fan. So of course my kids have now started listening to nothing but country music. Which I love because I never have to fight over what we're listening to in the car. Lucky me!
So my favorite song right now is "Stay" by Sugarland. I love the way it sounds. Jennifer Nettles has an awesome voice, and the video just makes me wanna cry right along with her. So needless to say, I blast the radio everytime it comes on. And I think my kids have learned it...
Next American Idols? What do you say?
