The Queen: Michelle

The Queen: Michelle
I am 28 years old. Still a princess but the queen of my family. Spoiled beyond belief. Lucky and truely blessed. A lover. A crafter. A mother. A wife. A friend. This is me.

My King: Junior

My King: Junior
The LOVE of my life! He completes me and balances me out in every way. He's a workaholic. He's loud, blunt, and crazy. He drinks Monsters like his life depends on it. Above all he is the greatest Daddy I could ever ask for, for my children. And he treats me like his Queen (and he calls me that too).

The Model Child: Diego Ray

The Model Child: Diego Ray
9 years old. My only boy. He is the epitome of the perfect child. He is so responsible and independent. Wise beyond his years. He is laughter, he is love, he is compassion, he is simply amazing. He keeps me grounded and reminds me always that I am beautiful. He is a natural born leader and takes care of the household and family better than me!

The Diva: Alayna Danae

The Diva: Alayna Danae
7 years old. She is drama. My fashionista for sure with a style all her own. Sensitive and loving when she wants to be. Thumbsucker. My biggest headache because she is the most like me. She is the only one who can cause me to become uncontrollably angry. She loves to dance. She loves to model. My bookworm and most academic.

The Wild Child: Arielle Marie-Grace

The Wild Child: Arielle Marie-Grace
4 years old. This one is something else. She is pure comedy. Never a dull moment with her crazy antics. She is also the crybaby. She does things her own way. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to be cute to get it. My Disney loving pal. So girly. Her favorite color is pink. Loves Rapunzel. Will wear a dress every single day. Can't leave the house without a bow in her hair. She refuses.

The Munchkin: Atalie Belle

The Munchkin: Atalie Belle
2 years old. My sweet baby. She loves her Mommy above all else. She is a cuddlebug for sure. The calmest most well behaved baby ever! But she has TONS of energy. She is so small and petite. She loves to sing and dance. She so SO ready for ballet and has yet to even step foot in a class. She loves Minnie Mouse and watching Disney Jr. She is hilarious and talks way too much.

What's in a name?

Princess Arielle

So my Dad has a hard time understanding why we pick the names we do. I figured I can explain. Naming our kids is fun. We love the names we've picked and Jr and I pretty much don't have a hard time agreeing. So let me explain...

Arielle: I love the movie "The Little Mermaid" and have always liked the name Ariel. Jr and I decided that any girls we had would have "A" names because we tend to like them better. So I mentioned Ariel one day and he liked it. He also suggested to put -ELLE at the end instead because my name also ends in -ELLE. So her first name was born.

Marie-Grace: My first thought for her middle name was that I wanted it to be hyphenated because my husband's first name is hyphenated. His first name is actually James-Henry... he goes by James... but we call him Jr. I think it's very unique so we started thinking. I like very simple middle names. So Grace popped into my head.

The day we found out we were having a girl was Nov. 15th 2007. That was my Grandma's birthday who passed away 21 years ago. Her name was Graciela. I found it ironic that I was thinking about the name Grace if we were to find out it was a girl... and the day we do find out happened to be my Grandma's birthday. So we decided Grace would have to be part of her name. Not only that... but my mom's middle name is Graciela and we wanted to honor her as well.

Nov. 15th also happens to be my Mother-in-Law's birthday. Her name is Maria Teresa. Jr wanted to honor his mom as much as I did mine... so we decided Marie would fit perfectly with Grace. Also his Grandmother was named Maria Elena.

So we got to name her after her 2 grandmas and 2 of her great-grandmas!

So it might have been a long name... but we put so much thought into it. Her name is very special and we love all the meaning behind it. It fits her perfectly and I love it!

I know huh! What is in a name. I remember watching a Mexican sitcom called La Criada Bien Criada and the lady that played the "criada" (maid) use to say her name was...

Inocencia de la Concepcion de Lourdes Escarabarzaleta Davalos Pandeada Derecha Procuna de la Buchaca Terron y Terron, para servirle a usted y luego empesaba y mi segundo apellido es (and my second last name is)... but people would always tell her stop, stop, stop.

When I hear long names I think of that show.

Wow! That is quite a story behind you little girl's name. I am sure she is going to love knowing the meaning behind it.

My name is Araceli and for a long time, I never knew what it meant. When I moved to the U.S. I found that many people can't pronounce it but they'd always ask me what it means.

One day I asked my dad and he said:
"Araceli is Latin for Altar Del Cielo" Ara = Altar + Celi = Cielo (Heave/Sky) so my name means...Altar from Heaven.

The fact that I've been called Chely since I was little is also nice because every time it is pronounced I'm actualy being called "Heaven".

I love my name as I'm sure Arielle Marie-Grace will love her name.

Besitos,

Tia Cielo
