I planned a Dr. Seuss themed baby shower for my brother and sister-in-law's baby shower. They're expecting baby number 4 as well and like with all their pregnancies they don't find out the gender. So I immediately wanted to do a Dr. Seuss theme. And Jen let me go with it. I wish I could have done more but with my busy schedule and a limited budget I made do with what I could and I think it turned out pretty good.
We had appetizers instead of a regular meal. I bought stuff that was easy to serve and put together. And Jen's Mom Linda as always had plenty of sweets and some awesome deviled eggs!
I had a cute idea of having mini honey buns as favors... and I enlisted my sister to make me tags that said "Thanks for comin' from the bun in the oven!" Nichole also did all the digital designing that I needed including the awesome invitations I asked her to re-create!
I found a few books at Savers for super cheap and her parents even found me a couple more! Perfect!
Looks like people enjoyed the food though... My Dad does like Green Eggs and Ham... he does! He does!
And the kids especially enjoyed the ice cream bar we had.
And they got a lot of gifts! And no she's not having twins but she got many gifts with two outfits... one for a boy... and one for a girl. Haha! That's okay because if she has a boy she can definitely re-gift to me...
One of my favorite of their gifts...
And it was hilarious because besides these gift sets they ended up with a years supply of lotions, soaps, shampoo, and baby hygiene necessities! It was hilarious how much they got!
And while this was all going on... the kids did their own things...
Alayna bonded with Tia Yolie
Arielle went from needing her brother...
To needing Mommy...
To needing her Tia Kika!
And then finally being happy because she got a hold of one of the new baby's toys.
And Alayna fell asleep...
Then Juanito and Arielle thought it would be nice to eat rocks. Arielle didn't like them... but Juanito did!
So Arielle moved on to goldfish instead... much tastier!
Family picture!
And then I caught my Daddy riding a scooter in the front yard. He's such a kid!
Jen hope you liked it!
