The Queen: Michelle

The Queen: Michelle
I am 28 years old. Still a princess but the queen of my family. Spoiled beyond belief. Lucky and truely blessed. A lover. A crafter. A mother. A wife. A friend. This is me.

My King: Junior

My King: Junior
The LOVE of my life! He completes me and balances me out in every way. He's a workaholic. He's loud, blunt, and crazy. He drinks Monsters like his life depends on it. Above all he is the greatest Daddy I could ever ask for, for my children. And he treats me like his Queen (and he calls me that too).

The Model Child: Diego Ray

The Model Child: Diego Ray
9 years old. My only boy. He is the epitome of the perfect child. He is so responsible and independent. Wise beyond his years. He is laughter, he is love, he is compassion, he is simply amazing. He keeps me grounded and reminds me always that I am beautiful. He is a natural born leader and takes care of the household and family better than me!

The Diva: Alayna Danae

The Diva: Alayna Danae
7 years old. She is drama. My fashionista for sure with a style all her own. Sensitive and loving when she wants to be. Thumbsucker. My biggest headache because she is the most like me. She is the only one who can cause me to become uncontrollably angry. She loves to dance. She loves to model. My bookworm and most academic.

The Wild Child: Arielle Marie-Grace

The Wild Child: Arielle Marie-Grace
4 years old. This one is something else. She is pure comedy. Never a dull moment with her crazy antics. She is also the crybaby. She does things her own way. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to be cute to get it. My Disney loving pal. So girly. Her favorite color is pink. Loves Rapunzel. Will wear a dress every single day. Can't leave the house without a bow in her hair. She refuses.

The Munchkin: Atalie Belle

The Munchkin: Atalie Belle
2 years old. My sweet baby. She loves her Mommy above all else. She is a cuddlebug for sure. The calmest most well behaved baby ever! But she has TONS of energy. She is so small and petite. She loves to sing and dance. She so SO ready for ballet and has yet to even step foot in a class. She loves Minnie Mouse and watching Disney Jr. She is hilarious and talks way too much.

My Weekend In A Nutshell

Saturday:

In the afternoon Jr calls me from work and says, "Hey, I was thinking... Did you wanna do something with me tonight?" It took me a second to process what he was asking... A date? A date! Without kids? So I ask... "Like me and you?" To which he replies, "If you could figure out a babysitter than I'll take care of the rest." Then I realize... No kids! So if I wasn't doing a happy dance at the prospect of a date with my husband I was now!

Well I made arrangements for babysitting and got ready. We left a little early so we could drop Arielle off at her Nino's house. Then we were off! First we had dinner at Chili's. I swear I felt like a teenager again. It's very rare that Jr and I do anything without our kids. And to have a whole night to ourselves was awesome! Truly truly awesome! (Can you tell I was really happy about it?) We reminisced about the last time we ate at
Chili's... for his 21st birthday (can you tell how often we go out?) and it was just him and I... and I got the crew to bring him cake and sing to him. He hated me for it... he doesn't like being the center of attention. So anyways we dined and conversated. It was good. Great even. Well up until a "clean up the tables and wipe them down after customers leave" guy checked me out right as we were eating and Jr got a little... okay a lot... annoyed with him. The guy stopped... looked me over... (I was wearing a skirt) and then kept doing what he was doing. But never fear! He was calm and didn't let that ruin our date. (Jr 4 years ago would have caused a HUGE scene and been mad for hours!) Funny because I've never had the chance to see Jr get jealous even in the slightest bit. I never dress up anymore or we don't go out where there's lots of people. So that was quite weird.

After dinner we decided to watch a movie. I chose Drag Me To Hell... and it was NOT AT ALL what we expected. I'll just leave it at that. I love horror movies and this one was different then I have ever seen before. In a good way of course.

Sunday:

Swimming at my Mother-in-Law's... I didn't do any swimming though since I took a 4 hour nap! Ahh refreshing! The rest of the evening and night was spent cleaning mine and the kids rooms and laundry. I swear laundry is out to ruin my life... It never stops.

Monday: (In my world Monday is the weekend because Jr is off Sun/Mon)

Remember that little incident where we got pulled over on our back from California? Well Jr had court today to present his case, prove he went to driving school, and see if we could get his ticket reduced. So we asked my mother-in-law to watch our kids so we could make the hour and a half trip to Salome, Arizona. We dropped the kids off early and left with plenty of time because if I know us... I knew we'd need time... JUST IN CASE. So we drove... using "Beverly" (Beverly is what I call the GPS on my cell phone because it's a woman's voice) as our guide. But for some strange reason when we entered the address of the court it would pull up our directions under a different address. Same town... same zip... just different address. We dimissed it and followed Beverly since she knows what she's doing all the time. Who am I to challange her? She ALWAYS gets me where I need to go. Turn by turn... she delivers me to any destination I ask for... and always checking for the fastest route, least traffic, and re-directing me if necessary. So a little before we're getting to our exit off the freeway we pass an exit for Salome Rd. Hmm... I thought... I wonder if we should exit there? Nope Beverly says 2 more exits so we wait. Once we exit there is nothing but dirt roads. No pavement at all.

Then all of a sudden we see cows... not just a few... but tons of cows! As we keep driving for like 5 miles, per Beverly's request we get to the end where we must now turn left or right. Bev says left so on we go and onto a paved road. She's now telling us that we are on Salome Rd. So I ponder... If we would have gotten off on the Salome Rd exit would we have avoided the dirt road and millions of cows and getting the van all dirty? Well I better keep my mouth shut I tell myself cuz Jr will just get mad at me for trying to get him lost. So on we go. We drive for about 25 minutes or so and Beverly says "In 1 mile your destination will be on your left." I laugh and say to Jr, "I don't see anything for a miles..." But then I shut up and let Bev do all the talking.

At this point Jr has to pee really bad... and Jr can't hold his pee at all. He's worse than a kid. But we're interrupted by Bev saying, "Your destination is on your left." But let me tell you... there was nothing there! In the middle of nowhere. And no court. So Jr thinks we should have gotten off back on the exit that says Salome. So I grab the ticket and call the number and ask for an address and directions. Cuz ya know... us woman aren't afraid to ask for directions. Meanwhile Jr had turned around and was on his way back where we came from. The lady on the other end told me that we should exit Salome Rd. and go about 35 miles until we come to a little intersection... they were just passed the intersection to the left, next to a police station. So I tell Jr and he decides to keep going back and find the Salome Rd. Exit again. Once we get back to that exit it turns out the road we were on WAS the right road... So here we go again! Ughh if we would have continued on a little further (like 10 miles) passed where the GPS told us to stop we would have found it. By this time it was 1:05pm and Jr needed to be there by 1:30... we were still about 40 miles out now... so Jr decided to make up time and get us there! So we booked it and arrived at 1:22pm! And Jr finally got to pee! Oh man was it an adventure.

Luckily he didn't have to actually see the Judge because he had all his ducks in a row by the time we arrived. So the lady took his stuff and now we're just waiting for a letter to see how much they are going to reduce his ticket by. And she set us up on a payment plan. Yes!

It was funny. But we got some lunch at Subway once we finished. I think we deserved it LOL.

The rest of the day was spent at my Mother-in-law's house swimming. Alayna got stung by a bee. It was hilarious! Well... not that she got stung... that wasn't funny... but the theatrics of her trauma had me almost peeing my pants! I really wish I would have made a video of it... but in the moment I couldn't think that fast. I did get a picture of her saddness though.

Great Post!!! Ricky, my son, could have been your server at Chili's!!! His last day was Sunday and he's back in CA now. Paul and I used to go in there a lot to have dinner and say hi to Ricky. He's been mostly at the bar lately though. I'm glad you had a great weekend and really enjoyed reading your post.
I've moved my blog to http://www.bettyjf1.typepad.com/

Betty - Actually our server was a girl... but that's cool! We went to the one on Litchfield.

Tracy - I know right?! I stepped on a bee when I was about 6... and I remember being the exact same way! Dramatic and all.

Daddy - Well I trusted our Beverly... but she only led us halfway...
